Thesis Title: The role of Bede's homilies in national formation on the Continent ca. 750-950

I'm incredibly interested in the influence of biblical and theological texts on early Western nations and conceptions of ethnicity. In the meanwhile, I'm researching simultaneously in patristics, the history of exegesis, early medieval ecclesiastical history, and legal history. I have an even longer term interest in the  relevance of premodern allegorical exegesis to contemporary biblical studies and church practices.

I recently finished my Masters thesis on the allegorical exegesis of Bede.
