My research uses Tomographic Particle Image Velocimetry to measure time-resolved, fully 3D flow fields in high Reynolds number turbulent boundary layers.

As a sideline, I act as a consultant on the design and optimisation of marine turbines (tidal stream turbines) and propulsion systems (propellers etc).
