Shima has spent the last 15 years helping small, medium and large multinational companies as well as governments and international funding agencies to improve their environmental and social performance. Academically, Shima has worked with a number of European and Egyptian universities and now teaches management and entrepreneurship to students of many different disciplines. Her research interest is strategy, management practice and environmentalism and within that she is particularly interested in the role of entrepreneurship and ‘business not as usual’ in delivering on the sustainability agenda.  Shima reviews for a number of Journals including Organisation and Environment.
