About
I joined the Institute of Public Health at the University of Cambridge as a Research Associate (Statistician) in July 2011. My background is in psychology and health research although I have a strong interest in research methods and statistics, particularly the application of latent variable modelling techniques to longitudinal data. I completed a BSc in Psychology in 2004, an MSc in Research Methods in 2008, and am currently writing up my doctoral dissertation. The focus of which is using latent variable methods to investigate the course of depression and determinants of adjustment in a large cohort of rheumatoid arthritis patients (ERAS). I have previously worked in the NHS and was a research advisor for the NIHR Research Design Service (formerly R&D support unit) at the University of Hertfordshire between 2006 and 2011. In addition, I have been an associate member of the ESRC International Centre for Lifecourse Studies in Society and Health (ICLS) since 2008.
