About

I am interested in a variety of social psychological issues.  In particular, I work on social perspectives on mental health, especially client understanding of mental health problems, and its implications, but also public understanding and issues of stigma.  As a part of this, I focus in particular on constructionist approaches to knowledge, especially social representations theory, and am interested in the way different forms of knowledge develop and interact with one another.  I use a broad range of qualtitative and some quantitative methods, and am particularly interested in the way that qualitative work can be assessed and developed.
